Adam Janak, AIA

Partner

Adam serves as a Partner at Northworks, based in our Jackson Hole studio, where he is involved in every project within the busy mountain west portfolio.

With a Master’s of Architecture from the University of Idaho, Adam launched his career at Hoyt/CTA Architects Engineers, where he ascended from AIT to Project Architect and Associate. His architectural acumen has garnered recognition, including the 2014 AIA Wyoming – Award of Citation for his personal residence and the 40 Under Forty Award in 2017 for the State of Wyoming.

The son of a contractor, Adam’s formative years were spent on job sites which planted the seed for his love of architecture and the process of taking a project from design conception to completion. Adam’s commitment to architectural excellence extends beyond his professional life. Building homes on nights and weekends has been integral to his personal and career growth in the valley.

Outside the studio, you can find Adam spending time with his wife, Emily, and their four children. When not immersed in architectural endeavors and family fun, he enjoys golfing and indulging in the local fly-fishing scene, both in the nearby rivers and Salt Lake.

Regardless of architectural style, adherence to principles of scale and proportion is paramount. When these foundational rules are honored, the elements of good design seamlessly fall into place throughout the entire process.
