Our founding studio location was established in 2005, cementing Northworks in the Chicago landscape.
Nestled in the heart of Chicago’s industrial legacy, our studio is a testament to craftsmanship, innovation, and the evolution of our practice. Once an old iron forge and part of Illinois Steel, our original workspace stood within an industrial corridor rich with history, neighboring the city’s oldest steel mill and one of the country’s longest-standing tanneries. Our current studio, located in Wicker Park, is a design oasis. We transformed an old mechanic shop into a social bar and workspace for our interiors team, while the second half of our building includes desks, conference space, and access to an exterior patio. This dynamic setting fosters collaboration and creativity, embodying our commitment to the fusion of craftsmanship, heritage, innovation.
Strong relationships with local builders, suppliers, and artisans allow us to bring enduring and contemporary designs to life with the help of our trusted partners. Reimagining a historic home, designing a modern residence, or reshaping a bespoke retreat, we are committed to bringing lasting architecture to Pennsylvania and beyond.
